At London Transport Awards on March 1st, the London Demonstrator of European Bus System of the Future 2 (EBSF2) programme won the Most Innovative Transport Project award. The award was presented by Leon Daniels and was collected by Mathew Hudson of Transport for London.

This week, Public Transport 2016 is being held in Gothenburg, and Hogia will be demonstrating TransitCloud, Hogia's new cloud based system for real-time passenger information. Supported by the Internet of Things, the provision of real-time data to and from buses can be simplified. Public transport organisations from Nordic cities recently met at the Nordic Public Transport Conference in Helsinki to discuss how public transport can get better at providing services in real time. One of the speakers was Ulf Bjersing from Hogia, who maintained that greater use must be made of standards and open data if we are to provide attractive public transport in future:

Lars Tingström from Hogia spoke at the logistics and transport fair 2015 about the trends and challenges he faces in his work. He expects to see an increased concentration of goods in transport corridors in the Ten-T network in the future. Each corridor involves at least three of the following four transport modes: rail, road, sea and air.

"One of the best ways to encourage more use of public transport is to provide better travel information, both during and after their journey.” This is how Bert-Inge Hogsved started his speech at the 2015 Public Transport Day. He made the same statement in 1992 on the Swedish news programme, and it remains as relevant today as back then.
